Standard capitalization of RMB amount

1. The capitalized amount in Chinese yuan should be filled in regular script or running script

(1) 壹、贰、叁、肆、伍、陆、柒、捌、玖、零、亿、万、仟、佰、拾、元、角、分、整(正);

(2) You are not allowed to use 一、二、三、四、五、六、七、八、九、十、念、毛、另(or 0) to fill in the number. You are not allowed to create simplified characters yourself.


2. Writing Standards for the Ending “整” (or “正”)

(1) When the amount in capital letters reaches "元", the word "整" (or "正") should be written after "元";

(2) When writing the amount up to the digit "角", you can omit the word "整" (or "正");

(3) When writing the amount up to "分", the word "整" (or "正") shall not be written after "分".


3. The word "人民币" should be marked before the Chinese amount in capital letters

(1) The amount in capital letters should be filled in immediately after the word "人民币" and no blank space should be left;

(2) ¥100, Should be written as"人民币壹佰元整"


4. When there is a "0" in the lowercase Arabic numerals, the uppercase Chinese numerals should be written in accordance with the Chinese language rules for the amount and the requirements for preventing alteration

(1) When there is a "0" in the middle of Arabic numerals: the Chinese capital "零" should be written, such as ¥1803.60, which should be written as "人民币壹仟捌佰零叁元陆角" or "人民币壹仟捌佰零叁元陆角整(正)";

(3) When the ten thousandth and yuan digits of an Arabic numeral amount contain "0", or there are several consecutive "0"s in the middle of the numerals, and the ten thousandth and yuan digits contain "0", but the thousandth and jiao digits do not contain "0": the Chinese amount in capital letters may contain only one "零" or no "零". For example, ¥206000.84 should be written as "人民币贰拾万零陆仟元捌角肆分" or "人民币贰拾万陆仟元捌角肆". For example, RMB ¥8880.88 should be written as "人民币捌仟捌佰捌拾元零捌角捌分" or "人民币捌仟捌佰捌拾元捌角捌分".

(4) When the decimal place of an Arabic numeral is "0" but the fraction place is not "0": the Chinese capital amount "元" should be followed by the character "零". For example, ¥25808.05 should be written as "人民币贰万伍仟捌佰零捌元零伍分". For example, ¥520.01 should be written as "人民币伍佰贰拾元零壹分".
